GOD PRESERVES

GOD PRESERVES   1 Chronicles 18:6, So the Lord preserved David wherever he went.    1 Chronicles 18:13 And the Lord preserved David wherever he went.     Chronicles 18 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20chron%2018&version=NKJV   Throughout the bible, God’s people had been constantly threatened and under attack by the surrounding countries.   This whole chapter mentioned how King David attacked his enemies, subdued them, and dealt with them accordingly:     1)   Philistine and its city, Gath 2)   Moab – became servants and paid tribute (taxes) 3)   Hadadezer (king of Zobah) as far as  Hamath - took from him 1,000 chariots, 7,000 horsemen, and 20,000 foot soldiers , hamstrung all the chariot horses except 100 horses were untouched. Hamstrung means to do something to prevent easy movement. He confiscated a large amount of loot: gold and bronze, and brought them bac...

GLORIOUS SANCTUARY

GLORIOUS SANCTUARY For Reading: Ezekiel Chapter 40 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=ezekiel%2040&version=NKJV   Ezekiel 40:4 And the man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you; for you  were  brought here so that I might show  them  to you. Declare to the house of Israel everything you see.   Chapter 40  of Ezekiel speaks about how God awaited (v3) to meet with Ezekiel to show him a vision of the future temple of God. The  S cripture says, HE (God) stood in the gateway  waiting for him to come.   Ezekiel 40:3 He took me (Ezekiel) there,  and behold,  there  was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze .  He had a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand, and he  stood in the gateway .   We wonder how Ezekiel met with God?   In 40:1...

CONFESSION OF SINS

CONFESSION OF SINS https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=ezra%2010&version=NKJV   Ezra 10:4 Arise, for this matter is your responsibility. We also are with you. Be of good courage, and do it.   The book of Ezra gives accounts of the return of the Jews from exile and the building of the second temple of God. It was not only a time of celebration and welcoming the returning Jews. It was also a time of repentance, seeking forgiveness and restoration with God from the Babylonians’ captivity. Before a corporate repentance service was held, a significant person, named Shechaniah (probably a leader, someone who contributed to the spiritual revival of Jerusalem), entreated Prophet Ezra and said, “Arise, for this matter is your responsibility …” meaning to arise and address the sinful states of the people. Responsibilities of Leadership This teaches us that God often impresses the pastor or elder to pray, preach, and teach on topics that address the people’s sins so t...

IF YOU DO THESE

IF YOU DO THESE   (01 May 2025) 1 Kings‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬-‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ But if you or your sons  at all turn from following Me , and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them, then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them; and this house which I have consecrated for My name I will cast out of My sight . Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples. And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and will hiss, and say, ‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’ Then they will answer, ‘Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them ; therefore the Lord has brought all this calamity (trouble) on them . These were God’s warnings to King Solomon to remind him of the consequences of walking in disobedience, either on h...

MY COMFORTER AND FRIEND

MY COMFORTER AND FRIEND   John 14:17-18 17  the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.  18  I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.   Before Jesus was about to be crucified and suffered on the cross, he comforted His disciples that though in body he would depart from them, in spirit, HE would come to them and continue to dwell with them. Not everyone can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth), except those (His own, His children) who believed and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.   Romans 8:9, 16 9  … Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ , he is not His . 16  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,…   This verse tells us that the Holy Spirit can identify who belongs to God and who doesn’t. Those who do not know him (meaning those...

LISTEN TO HIM

LISTEN TO HIM 15 April 2024 Deuteronomy‬ ‭18‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ I will raise up for them a Prophet like you (Moses) from among their brethren, and will put My words in His (Jesus) mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name (God’s name), I will require it of him. During Moses’ days, God revealed to Moses that HE would send Jesus, the Messiah, to come and live among the people. He would be a great prophet for the people of Israel.  God told Moses to implore the people (Israelites) to listen to all that Jesus would speak to them when he appeared, or else HE would require of them. This means there are great penalties and consequences for rejecting Jesus’ words by the people.   This tells us Jesus was appointed to speak every Word of God revealed to Him from above for all the people during His ministry on earth.   If we are the children of God, undeniably, we must hear His Words. H...

NOT CHEAP GRACE

NOT CHEAP GRACE   John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.   1 Peter 2:24 Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree (cross), that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed. What types of sons and daughters are you?   Are you saying that if your parents have asked you to empty the smelly trash or clean up the kitchen on weekends, you have decided not to be their sons and daughters? This can’t be because you know they are your parents!   Similarly, do you know God has become your Heavenly Father the day you accepted HIM as your Lord and Saviour? There is a spirit born into us the moment we confess, “God, I want to believe in You and accept You as my Lord and Saviour.” Between us and our parents, we are born of flesh and blood. But between God and us, we are born of His Spirit. Those born of God’s spirit are a new creation ; the old (sinful li...
