IF TWO AGREE 


Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.


Two days’ ago, happened that a youth visited my home as he followed my son home from outside. He looked downcast with knitted brows due to parental and personal problems. 


I tried to counsel him as he is one of the youths I reach out to. I used to post inspiring messages to encourage these youths. I never thought if these youths would read all my messages because they are very active, busy with school and outdoor activities. 


Sometimes we never knew if a person was undergoing hell until we heard about it.


The question he threw at me was, “Aunty, I am so depressed with my parents’ issues and now I have to travel so far for my internship. It took me two hours travelling up and down. I knelt down to God asking Him to help me  cope with many issues I had and HE didn’t answer my prayer.” 


I was overwhelmed with joy hearing him knelt to God in prayer and excited. Though a quiet person in the chat, yet God has touched him and ministered to him quietly until I was unaware.


Sometimes, it is not our prayer is ineffective. It is the power of two agreeing in prayer. The Scripture clearly says, “If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask…”


There is a secret power and supernatural speed when two agree in prayer. I shared with him this verse and then gathered the two boys to pray with me.


Another reason is, this youth who knelt to God has not yet accepted the Lord as his Saviour. One of the reasons for our prayer to be heard is to first confess our sins. Every person who comes before God must confess our sins because HE is holy, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬). We can be ascertained that all who believed in the living God has favour from the Lord most high and HE heard all our prayers!


Proverbs‬ ‭8‬:‭35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

For whoever finds me finds life (eternity, hope), and obtains favor from the Lord;

Two days later, again I met him at my home. This time his countenance was so joyful and relax, not like before and he gave me a broad grin. I knew I had to talk to him and told him to wait as I was about to go for a bath. When I came out of the bathroom, he was gone. Later I checked with my son and found out that God had answered our prayer. His lecturer managed to find a nearer school for him to do his internship and he was overjoy with head swirling and with a grateful heart.


Thank God for His mighty work on this youth. 


On 11 May 2025, he again visited my home. I heard his testimony personally from his mouth and at the same time, I invited him to say the sinner’s prayer. Today, he is a child of God and a new creation in Christ Jesus!


Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I have heard much about you and I want to acknowledge you as my Lord and Saviour. Your Word says, whoever believed in you shall not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Jesus, forgive all my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness . Also  in 1 Peter 2:10 says, “Which in time past were not a people, but are now a people of God; which had not obtained mercy, but now have mercy. Surely eternal life, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. In Jesus name I prayed, amen!
